Margaret Tansey, LMT 

Margaret Tansey graduated in August 2020 from the Holistic Massage Therapy program at SpaTech Institute in Westbrook, Maine.

In 2022, Margaret received the honor of Portland’s “Best Massage Therapist” in the Portland Old Port Awards.

Margaret primarily focuses on Deep Tissue massage, myofascial and positional release, and trigger-point therapy. She works with people at all levels of their healing journey. Additionally, Margaret is a Certified Polarity Practitioner and loves to offer integrated sessions that tap into healing both the physical, as well as, the energetic body.

Margaret is originally from Scituate, Massachusetts. She studied English and French at St. Lawrence University, where she also was an NCAA athlete on the Women’s Soccer team. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in 2008.

Before her career as a massage therapist, Margaret was a stern woman on the lobster boat F/V Audrey Marie. She earned her Yoga Teacher Certification and Level 1 Reiki Certification in 2018 through Arcana Healing Arts in Portland, Maine.

Margaret is trained as a Traumatic Incident Reduction and Life Stress Reduction facilitator and continues to explore the mind-body-spirit connection especially as it relates to trauma. Her intention is to hold space for each client, to hear their needs, meet them where they are at, and provide individually catered healing services to each and every one.
